Kids’ Off-Road Training Course
Welcome to the Ocotillo RV Resort Training Course! Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and supportive environment for children to learn and practice riding. To ensure everyone's safety and protect the property, all riders and parents/guardians must read, understand, and follow the rules outlined here.
The kids’ off-road training course is located in the back of the resort with access at the southwest corner of the park! Strategically placed twists and turns make it an exciting and interesting training spot! Check out these photos of the course and the video below to get a feel for the training opportunities!

Info & Rules Guide
Welcome to the Ocotillo RV Resort Training Course! Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and supportive environment for children to learn and practice riding. To ensure everyone's safety and protect the property, all riders and parents/guardians must read, understand, and follow the rules outlined below.
General Information
Open 10 am to 2 pm Friday-Sunday, as well as Thursday and Monday on Holiday weekends.
Age Range: 5–12 years old
Skill Levels Welcome: Beginners
Supervision Required: Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times
First Aid: Basic first aid available on-site
Liability & Safety Waiver
All participants must have a signed liability waiver on file before entering the course.
Parents/guardians are fully responsible for the safety and behavior of their children.
The property owner, instructors, and volunteers are not liable for injuries, accidents, or damage to personal equipment.
Required Gear (No Exceptions)
To protect our riders, the following gear must be worn at all times on the course:
DOT-approved helmet
Goggles or face shield
Gloves
Long-sleeved jersey or shirt
Pants (no shorts)
Boots (covering ankles – motocross boots preferred)
Chest protector or body armor recommended
Riders without proper safety gear will not be allowed on the course.
Course Rules
Ride only in designated areas. Stay on the marked track at all times.
No racing or aggressive riding. This is a training course, not a competition track.
One rider at a time in technical or tight sections, unless permitted by an instructor.
Speed must match skill level. Beginners should ride slowly and cautiously.
Respect instructors and volunteers. Their directions are for everyone’s safety.
No riding in parking or spectator areas.
Absolutely no drugs, alcohol, or smoking on the property.
Pets must be leashed and under control at all times.
No littering – keep the property clean.
Report any injuries or broken equipment immediately.
Parent & Guardian Responsibilities
Ensure your child follows all rules and wears required safety gear.
Supervise your child at all times.
Review the rules with your child before each visit.
Remain on-site during your child’s session unless otherwise authorized.
Violations
Failure to follow the rules may result in:
A verbal warning (child and guardian)
Suspension from riding for the day
Permanent ban from the course for serious or repeated violations
